Default Gold white stripes yenko

A Friend of mine is the original owner of the gold white yenko in the museum in Tennessee, it was the car featured in July 1969 super stock magazine, he raced the car till 1981, he's supposed to show me pics from those years and I'll post them if he finds them, in the mean time if anyone has any questions they have about the car I run into him often and can get them answered

I have never seen this car in person, but I have a framed poster of it in my home office. I've always thought this car was 9N579281, but that's not listed as a known car in the registry. I believe this car is YS9321. I also have a framed poster of Cliff's Lemans Blue Camaro with white stripes, but I don't know which car that is either. If anyone knows, please let me know.

Thanks,
Myron

I believe that the gold car was the prototype for the yenko cars.....has headers, scatter shield etc from new.....also magazine car about the first prototypes.

Not sure but there was 1 or 2 of these cars?

It would be great if someone could respond to Myron's questions so that we could include pictures of these cars in our registry.

The car is on the vin list and is 9N579281,He told me that he was originally going to buy a corvette when he spotted the car behind the dealership, while looking it over he noticed the drive shaft was removed as well as a couple spark plug wires, the salesman told him it was a magazine car and didn't think it was for sale, he asked if he could find out, the salesman went in the building a came back and said it would be for sale and that's when he decided to buy it over a corvette. the car was talked about here before (post 11) he told me of the test drive also. https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthrea...t=69564&page=2

Thanks, I've always thought this car was 9N579281. I believe this was the only Olympic Gold car with white stripes and Atlas mags when new. As far as I know Cliff still owns it. The Olympic Gold car that K. Hand had restored now has white stripes and Atlas mags as well. That car is 9N579444 and last I knew was in the Brothers Collection. The other two known Olympic Gold cars both have black stripes so I don't know which car is in the background of the photo of Mick Price's 68 L78 Camaro. The last I knew 9N578989 was in Colorado and 9N579308 was in Virginia. Both of those cars were at MCACN in 2012. As far as I know there are only four known Olympic Gold 69 Yenko Camaros.
