Default '70 Chevelle SS396 Survivor, Black Cherry/396-350hp/4-sp

Cool car, supposedly original paint too. I know we've discussed it here but I can't find the post....

Engine has definitely been messed with, and the interior needs some love, but overall pretty clean. I'd still rather have that 8900-mile blue '70 but it's nearly 2x the current bid price for this one.

----Tony,,, It's real hard to believe that this 90,000 mile Arizona car is original paint. Wrong bolts holding on the inner fenders and incorrect overspray on the outer edges of the cowl by the front fenders tell the tale. Oh, and maroon paint on the front fender to cowl bolts. And,,, I guess its just too good a paint job to be original. Just MHO! Very cool color combo though!..….Bill S

Default "70 Chevelle SS 396 Survivor

It looks to have a 4 core radiator and top plate with the spot welded spring metal tab on the left side which only came on a Big Block A/C car or an LS-6 with a 4:10 ratio rear end. I've never seen a 1970 Chevelle with a factory 4:10 gear in a 396 / 350 Chevelle, but never say never, right?

Bill

Yes...probably not an original paint car then

To be fair I did say "supposedly original paint" to cover my butt!

Find it hard to believe that someone would preserve the outside to that level and leave the engine compartment to that non level
