FYI, Check www.hotwire.com for rooms....and dont rule out MESA as its not far at all given the good freeway system.
Also I found $15.00 per day Mid Size cars at Thrifty car rental......but 40% Taxes at airport runs that up!!!!!!!!

Don't forget about purchasing your Barrett-Jackson tickets online. You can save a few bucks, if you buy them before Jan. 1st. After that particular date, the prices will go up and you will have to pay "gate" prices. www.barrett-jackson.com

See ya there!

Thanks, almost got to DVAP last year when I was in Scottsdale for work, but couldn't get free before they closed.

Do they shoot out-of-towners? Really figured to just go by myself (not sure the wife wants to walk around the yard this time), but if anyone wants to meet there, let me know.

Probably Wednesday or Friday.

We are really looking forward to the Pavillions. We have a couple of really big weekly cruises here in Cleveland, but I hear this thing is over the top.

They can't be too hostile to out-of-towners, since native Arizonians are the least likely to need and pay up for rust-free AZ sheetmetal. I think they're probably skeptical of anyone who's not a local regular having free run of the yard (the old yard problem of having people wrecking 3 expensive parts while they hack out the cheap piece they need). If you introduce yourself and state your intentions, I would think you should be OK.

Bought tickets to come in Fri morning and leave Tuesday. I'm bringing the family to get some sun and some of my family in Minneapolis are going to meet us there.

I'm looking for a 3 or 4br house to rent that sleeps 8 or 9 people. I've got a few leads from the various vacation home sites, but if any of you Arizona guys know of competent vacation home broker/schedulers down there, I'd appreciate some contact info. You can call or PM me.

Looking for something with a heated pool and not too far from Scottsdale, 4 nights for around $1250-1500. (I'm not crazy, just optimistic!).

Looking forward to seeing some of you there.
