Default 1969 Hurst line lock value?

Is this the current going rate for period correct line lock?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-NOS...cAAOSw3Y1gDHXx

If this is where day two parts are going they are out of my league.

It's all being driven up with the demand for Day 2 as of late. What's old is new again and yes...that's where the pricing is going. About 2/3 years ago those were $400 to $500 and I suspect they will be $800 before you know it.

Wow
Are all the parts on the rise or just certain parts more than others?

The last couple on Ebay have gone for $275-375 so no, I don't believe this is the going rate.

FWIW - The ebay line loc is not a day 2 design, it is more like 1980 up.

The Attached picture ( not mine ) is a early to mid 70,s design, I bought the identical line loc in my picture in 1972 ish.

I paid $400 for the last two kits including one kit bought through Yenko and the other off eBay. I have also seen a few others sold on sYc for that kind of money in recent years if complete and in good shape. The inside paper on the last version I had was the 2nd design carton (Black Hurst Box) was dated 76 on the revised paperwork. FWIW, the one I just bought from eBay last summer is dated 1969 on the internal paperwork and has a second instruction sheet (shown below) which is dated 1968. Both sets of 68/69 instructions show this small style solenoid in use. I cannot say when it was produced for certain, but I always thought very early 70's at the latest, and the packaging is also consistent with the one shown on Ken B's ZL-1 which was apparently built using 69 dated parts? The only thing different was the solenoid model and the same holds true with Grady's 69 Copo. Not exactly sure when they changed the solenoid style but everything else in the carton including the internal packaging is identical to the one I have now and it is in fact dated 1969. Maybe those kits with the larger solenoid were earlier stock and it was still available in some of the speed shops a couple of years later? Like older stock? The paper in this kit is all dated 68/69 and clearly shows the small solenoid so I kind of rest my case with that.

And yes, prices are on the rise recently.

Here's the kit I bought a few years ago. Later carton design (Black) in which it included paperwork dated 1976 (if I recall correctly). I have pictures here somewhere showing the revised paper dating and will try and add it when I find the right folder of stuff on this PC. I would suspect this being the packaging marketed into the 1980's.

----This was the style that was installed in Red Alert in the early 70's. The cool part of that installation was that Bob Hamilton wired the button up to the horn button. It worked really well so I left it alone!.....Bill S

You are correct Bill. That photo is of a 1st design Line-loc. Also the toughest one to find in working order.
