I know the new California owner. I've yet to see it in person, hopefully soon.
I haven't heard exactly what the plans are yet, but I'm sure an evaluation is in order first.

HMMMM what are the odds?
A 1967 Vette hit in the back by a 1962 Impala that clearly would have had front end damage and both surfacing at the same time! LOL The vette with impact at the right rear and the Impala looks like it had a right front impact judging by the right front frame horn bent downward. https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=155029

A vette with half the body replaced will hurt the value and originality. he best by a parts car and put a virgin GM rear clip on that car.
