Default Factory Aluminum Head Intake Seat

I’m hoping someone has some insight on this. I have a 68 BBC aluminum head(3919842) that has a damaged intake seat. I’m wondering if anyone knows a source for an exact replacement for this seat or a NOS seat. I don’t want to machine oversize and that is what the machine shop says is necessary do to current availability of parts.

Thanks,

Jason

If you can not find one that is the correct size then a good machine shop should be able to cut down an existing after market seat to fit the current hole in the head.

Freddie,

That is a good idea. I will talk with the machine shop about that tomorrow.

Thanks,

Jason
