Considered by many to be the best soccer player of all time. I ate dinner with him when I lived in Madrid. It seemed like there was not a store front in Madrid that didn't have a 40 ft photo or balloon figure in their window. Every Macdonalds had a Macys parade type balloon flying overhead. He was larger than life in Europe and the world. I remember being at a restaurant outdoors when Real Madrid played Barcelona in 1983. I was a mile from the stadium. A goal was scored and the ground shook like an earthquake had hit. Probably 120K spectators at the stadium.
