Default 1100837 alternator

I just picked up a used delco 1100837 alternator that appears to be all original. The owner said that it came off his original 69 SS396 L-78 chevelle. Can anyone please tell me if 8L 27 is a known date for 837 alternators. Thank you in advance.

Thanks Mike, I will do that, but give me a couple of days with Mother's Day and relatives coming home.

"Can anyone please tell me if 8L 27 is a known date for 837 alternators.".........Yes it is a known date. I sold 3 of that exact date in the past 8 months.

Is there any way you could post a pic or maybe e-mail me a pic of the part number and date code. I've been looking for one in that general time frame and I know there are a lot of re-stamps out there and yours would give something to compare it to if I do come across any. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rick
