Default 427 big block pad numbers odd. opinions?

I have a 427 engine with numbers that appear to be C9Z16U3323. Anyone every seen a sequence like this? I haven't dug to the dates yet but thought it was odd. Help. Bill.

looks like a bad stamp. i would guess a chevelle built in fremont Z code and vin#, i think the u is a zero. just a guess.
