Re: David Bunn LS-6 for Sale!
I really like this quote from David Bunn from a post he made over at chevelles.com last year: when the the LS6 engine was introduced we knew the GENERAL had come up with something special. Special because it was a streetable high horsepower driver. The 11 to 1 compression wasn't a problem because gas stations, on every corner, had 93+ octane fuel for .30/gallon. Standard 3.31 gearing and the then 60 mph speed limit only cranked the engine up to 2500. Road trips were a blast and punctuated with full throttle lapses in judgment. One thing you will never forget, your first time... hearing the whine of a rock crusher in low gear on a quiet summer night!”
Oh Ya, I know exactly what he is talking about, my car also has the 3.31 gear with M22.

Re: David Bunn LS-6 for Sale!
That is a very nice car, too bad you want to sell it. If i were you, i would keep it, unless i had a good reason to sell it.

Re: David Bunn LS-6 for Sale!
Jerry Blalock bought the car new as you can see above. He asked the dealership to add the vinyl roof before he took delivery because he liked the look. Vinyl roof on the car is the one that the dealership installed.

Re: David Bunn LS-6 for Sale!
Some of you might remember that David Bunn campaigned two 70 Chevelles. The red one is a rare L78, also a North Carolina car delivered new at Y. Z. Foss Chevrolet in LaGrange. It was also for sale this week and is now sold. It's on its way to Maine and will be campaigned again.

Re: David Bunn LS-6 for Sale!
My best friend purchased the 1970 L78 Chevelle and is trying to track down the original owner. He has talked to David Bunn, wicked nice guy, who said he purchased the car from the second owner. Is there anyone out there that might know/have any information regarding the car pre David Bunn. David purchased the car without the drivetrain and my friend is of course looking for information on what happened to the original engine and transmission.
Thanks, Al in Maine |
