Apologies Rich, I probably should have been clearer, the stud I am chasing is for the air cleaner. Is there a variation in these?

Damien,

Looking Great!

You also need a Cowl Seal and the correct metal clips....and those plastic Cowl Covers were never on any 1969 Chevelle.
Also run your orange heater blower wire on the Bottom side of your heater.
It’s coming along nicely. Keep up the great improvements.

Dan

Thanks Dan.

It had a rubber cowl seal on it but I took it off. Pushes the rear of the hood up.
It needs a foam seal.

Damien,

My hunch is that the former car owner purchased a reproduction Cowl Seal from Ground Up, Inc.
I know this because the former owner worked part time for Ground Up. Or you may have an early style reproduction hood which has now been redesigned better. Their early reproduction hoods were notorious for sticking up in the back.

What you need is an original Cowl Seal

Dan

Dan,

Original seal, as in NOS? Or original as in design?

Carb stud and wing nut sorted.

The big things for me are the throttle bracket and filter clamp.
