Default Awesome '71 #s LT1 Corvette with Day 2 1970s Paint

Current owner found this one stored away for decades, and got it running and roadworthy. Is this not a deal for the $21,995 ask? I don't love the paint, but I do love the original yellow-on-saddle color combo and original drivetrain.

Amazingly, this car was sold for $16,500 earlier this month but the buyer backed out.

That air cleaner lid looks like an old hubcap.

Does the pad stamp look good to the pros here? The CGZ looks like it fell off a cliff. Maybe just the angle of the picture? Broach marks?

The air cleaner lid actually looks like a Ford Hipo unit that someone banged one of the contours out of.

I have a number of strange but legitimate 1971 CGZ stamps in my files. Some are almost too funny to believe as legitimate, but they are. It appears that the VIN is a factory grind-out.
An unusual pad, to be sure.

Throw some original American 200S wheels on there and that paint job would begin to look just fine!

I think Western Cyclone/Hurricane turbines with the "insert" area painted yellow would be killer.
