Default BIG NEWS from central Indiana , 69 Daytona discovered

I was chatting with a neighbor last summer about a truck in his driveway , it was a crusty rusty Dodge Little Red Express Truck .
As we chatted about old cars he told me he had a Daytona in his garage . I said 'what kind of Daytona' and he said 'a 1969' and I said 'you mean a wing car? ' and he said ''yes' .... I asked to see it and he was really skiddish and wouldn't show it to me ......
As time passed he finally showed it to me but wouldn't let me take pictures to show to a friend of mine .
FINALLY he had it out in the driveway today !!!! AND I got the pics and have already looked it up on a Datona registry I found online and its an unknown car never documented on the registry I found , delivery #500 in production and VIN was all they knew ...
He told me he bought it brand new in 1970 at the local dodge dealer Goeke Dodge Chrysler Plymouth in Noblesville IN for around $4000 !
Its a 440 car 4 speed dark green .
All original car with 28,000 original but it does have some rust BUT is overall decent condition with original paint , front fenders are rusty , car is nice and straight down the sides ......
Here's some pics I captured today !!!!

Being from Indiana, that certainly doesn't look rough to me but what a great find right here in the Hoosier state. Thanks for sharing.

I would venture a guess that the 28K were probably the easiest part of it's life. Likely poor storage that got it to this point, still amazing it exists in this condition. Gotta wonder about the hood replacement, must have occurred some time ago when those kind of parts were still to be found.

The Daytonas used a stock 1970 Charger hood (nice how Dodge used a time machine to go forward in time and bring parts back!). The Fenders were 1970 Charger, too, but with the bottom front cut and flanged to mate with the nose belly pan instead of a front valance.

Another salt+storage victim, but a neat car nonetheless.

It's a shame it wasn't better taken care of for a low mile car. Must have been stored outside for some time...

That is awesome, and again proves...they are still out there!

What are the owners plans? Would love to see this one at MCACN for BF/HG's!
