'58 Fuelie Corvette Project
Wow is this ever cool...some underbody rot but I love the Wisconsin plates with '71 tabs.
The seller is claiming the engine block is original - were these actually stamped with the partial VIN back in '58, or did that begin later? There's a good picture of the engine assembly code but nothing showing the partial VIN, if that's indeed something that was done this far back. Link to 1958 Corvette Fuelie auction J58S103962 |

Too bad the frame is so bad. But with all the pro touring stuff going on, chassis’ can be had I suppose to repair it.

----That rear crossmember is a frequently seen rust area. It is reproduced and isn't that hard to replace. Looking at all the pics the rest of the rust is surface with a decent amount of pitting. Definetly restorable......Bill S
