Default 70Z28

SOLD Classic Copper M22 4:10 born in driveline. Never on internet, I bought from third owner in 09 who had it since 92. Excluding a couple years in Hawaii with second owner( who moved there with it from here) a Cali car entire life. Car has two registered owners only, been off road since eighties. Restoration by Rick Nelson, nuff said bout that. Car is 99% done, still at his shop. It was restored using Charlie's benchmark 70Z as a blueprint,(also Classic Copper/white stripes/ VN build)and was a same week build if memory serves.Sold new a couple miles from the plant at Tom Carrell Chevy in San Fernando. Featured in John Hoopers book in unrestored condition, specifically for the correct NA9 engine bay. Extensive documentation includes Window sticker, 2 build sheets, POP,old registration cards, insurance cards, period photos in original condition.Complete owner history, retains original blue base CA plates. Pics are from the Gibb show this year, and MCACN last fall(concours award) Complete photo documentation of resto. One of the finest 70Z's in existence, and defines a no excuses car.105k

Mark....I've seen the car in person at MCACN and it is spectacular! Rick's work is second to none and he's a really great guy to boot! If I had the cash that car would be in my garage.....good luck with the sale.

My apologies for not getting the requested photos to Mark in time yesterday so I will post them now. I might add that when we media blasted the car it not only retained 100% of it's original assembly line steel, there was absolutely NO rust anywhere and only one small damaged area in the drivers rear taillight panel. Also, every assembly line grease pencil marking showed up clearly. I have 1641 photos of the car during the restoration so little is left to the imagination. It was restored EXACTLY how it was found in it's mostly original paint so all overspray, drips, undercoating, sound deadener, blacked out areas, interior primers, etc were all matched to pre-existing photos. There was not a single bolt or component that was not completely restored on this car. It is in fact a BRAND NEW CAR. I took special care to try and use assembly line parts during the restoration and not just NOS parts. As far as the stamps and stencils, all were made using the originals as templates and them ink stamped on the hoses. Here are some shots during the restoration.

Here are the chassis shots. I am a big block guy and was under the impression that Flint engines were not painted with the bellhousings attached. However, the original housing on this engine was and after MANY hours of research I found this to often times be the case so it was replicated. All paint inspection marks were photographed before, during and after the part was cleaned and all were duplicated. None were arbitrarily added under any circumstances. What you see it what was there from new.

Engine and interior shots and a couple of NA9 shots thrown in. If you are a serious buyer email me and I can give you more detail about the restoration.
