[/ QUOTE ] long before the beer cooler was standard equipment as a counter balance , the helm was positioned to starboard to counteract the torque of the clockwise rotation of the prop. (fat skipper kept list to a minimum). Hulls are now designed to eliminate that problem for the most part. oh yes, Great Job Bruce!! |

Re: What I did today...version 2! The Day on the Lake!
I learned to ski on Bartlett lake 30 years ago. I used the same SS El Camino I still have to tow my boat down 10 miles of the worst washboarded dirt road and risked getting it stuck on the dirt launch ramp there. ( I hear its paved now). One day we arrived at the lake and were watching people swim (or so we thought) right in the middle of the ramp. A few minutes later a 4x4 backs down and one of the "swimmers" comes out of the water with a tow rope which he hooks up to the 4x4. Then then proceed to pull ANOTHER 4x4 and an empty trailer up from the depths. Guess someone forgot to set the parking brake.
...good times on Lake Bartlett! |
