Default 1992 Suzuki RM125 Custom Motocross Motorcycle

1992 Suzuki RM125 Custom Motocross Motorcycle

Selling on a Hemmings Online Auction. View the auction here.

This stunning 1992 Suzuki RM125 Custom Motocross Motorcycle was completely restored to show quality standards throughout. The factory rated the 2-stroke 124.8cc engine with 38hp. It was the product of a 5-year restoration by Adam Hughes of Austin, TX from 2017 through 2022. Since completion the Moose Utility Meter reads 1.2 hours of break-in time. Adam is a motocross enthusiast and had a 1992 Suzuki RM125 when he was younger. The 1992 factory models sported a crazy purple, yellow and pink color scheme which was cool but Adam had a different vison. He wanted to do a throwback to the popular 1980's and early 90's RM colors of yellow and blue.

He started with a bare frame that was stripped and refinished in blue. The frame was outfitted with NOS Works Connection aluminum frame guards and IMS Pro Series foot pegs. From that point he sourced all new parts including as many NOS and OEM parts as possible. The engine was assembled from scratch with all new parts including NOS cases, cylinder, ignition cover, kick starter and power valve adjuster. It's been setup with V-Force 3 Reeds by Moto Tassinari and a Mikuni TMX factory aftermarket racing carburetor. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The engine is cooled by an NOS black radiator and a new aluminum radiator. The engine breathes through a rare NOS Pro Circuit Works pipe which was purchased directly from Pro Circuit. This was the only pipe for this application that was available and possibly leftover from a factory team order in the past. The pipe is connected to a rare NOS Pro Circuit Factory Sound silencer.
The front end is off a 2001 Suzuki RM125. The forks were gone through, refinished in cerakaote Bronze and setup with billet triple clamps. It's equipped with Renthal “Twin Wall” handlebars, Renthal gray soft grips and Renthal pad. The NOS swingarm is coupled to the rear shock that was revalved by Factory Connection.

It rolls on new Takasago Excel Gold wheels that look awesome. The wheels are wrapped with new Bridgestone Battlecross X30F tires that are 80-100-21 on the front and 100-90-19 on the rear. It's equipped with a new Sunstar black front sprocket, Renthal rear sprocket and DID 520 gold chain. All of brakes are new including the braided front brake line.
The NOS gas tank has a MC vented breather hose. The front license plate, front fender, radiator shrouds, side covers and rear fender plastics are new. Black background stickers with the number one, factory decals and Camel Supercross decals were added. The new Tecnosel Suzuki seat cover looks great.

his 1992 Suzuki RM125 not only looks awesome but it runs and sounds awesome. A new Factory Effex Suzuki stand is included. This is another great opportunity from the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection.
