'58 Pontiac Chieftain, 370, 3-sp Stick, California Project Car Stored since '73
This looks like excellent raw material for a really cool build. I can't remember the last time I've seen a '58 Pontiac 2-door hardtop...I'm thinking if this were an Impala, it would be 3x the price.

19-1/2ft long...7ft Wide....if this were a plane you’d need to go through training to drive it, yet it all stops with a master cylinder the size of your fist. Ah...love the 50s stuff!

Very cool! I'd be tempted to just fix all the mechanicals, clean it up, and drive as is!

Love it too and the only better would be if it was a Canadian Pontiac w/ new W-Power for '58. With you on the the single pot master Dave also can't help but think how that factory heater ducting could be recrafted into a cool poor man's cowl plenum intake system! ~ Pete .

I really like this green Tri power car Scott. What is the owner asking for it?

I was helping my daughter practice for the parallel parking portion of her driver's test over the weekend. I set up garbage cans and a board for a makeshift "parking space". We started at 24', and then I reduced it to 19' to make it more challenging for her to put an Acura TL in the space. With this thing you would literally have to put it up on dollies to shoehorn it into that space! If it were a boat it would need bow thrusters. Reminds me of the time I rented a car in San Francisco and all they had left was a Lincoln Town Car. Great fun trying to parallel park that barge all weekend on those hilly streets. |
