They sold some hi-po cars because there was a drag strip at the local airport and also an Air Force base nearby but in my opinion Washburn Chevrolet in Santa Barbara (in the same county as Santa Maria) was the more high performance dealer of the two.

Home is still in business, Mom still buys her new vehicles there about every 3 years.

I went there and met the folks at the dealership when I was out there with the Navy in 2008- nice folks, nice area I have a recent license plate frame for you if you are buying a car sold there Fred
