"Second lowest year production trans am only to 1969". ???

That would 1972, not 1975.

Lots of bad info in that ad. Maybe a $4500 car. No way it's worth 9k.

Yes, the 1975 455HO was an "H.O." in name only. No resemblance to the vaunted 1971-1972 455HO's.

Pontiac was still licking their wounds from the cancellation of the 1974 SD-455 program, so they dubbed their 1975 engine a 455 H.O. in an attempt to lure unsuspecting buyers.

The 1975 Trans Am's still handled great, looked good, same great interior and gauges as previous years. But the 1975 engines were essentially station wagon motors. On top of that, this was the year of the single exhaust, through a catalytic converter (branched out to duals), which killed off the big 455's power even more.

That car has been for sale for a long long time.... and probably will be for years to come at that price.

A '75 455HO is nothing more than a 200hp slug..... but will still spin donuts all day long

The '76 version is the nicer car.

Wow, I remember those Mecham dealer-built "Macho T/As" from back in the day.

Cool car.
