Default Spiral Shock Rebuild

Is there a vendor our there that is rebuilding spiral shocks? I have a pair of original rear shocks off my '70 that are dated, and I'd like to have them rebuilt versus using the reproduction shocks that are available today.

I came across a link for Dan's Shocks. Anyone familiar with his services?

Thanks

Dan is outstanding... A+ rate quality and product. I believe he is looking to get out of the business? His backlog could be months at this point. Used him countless times - always perfect result.

Normally about $250 per shock. He opens them up and repairs them with NOS guts. His turnaround is pretty slow as others have said but if you send them off at the beginning of your project you will have no issues. Unfortunately, he is looking to retire and hopes to pass along the business.

Looks like they have NOS as well if you are missing the originals.

Dan takes. 6-7 months for a set . He is hoping that maybe his son will take over . He says his retirement is not that far away.
