Default 66 Corvette engine and trans

I was working on the nomad today and out of curiosity I looked at the vin on the engine.
We've had this engine and trans since about 1972 and I just now got curious, lol. Dad bought it from a guy that pulled it out of his 56 Chevy when we were living in Mt. Healthy. I've known all along it's a 66 327/300 from a Corvette, and has it's matching M-21 with it. I'm pretty confident it's low miles and hasn't been rebuilt at all. Does run fine and is complete from intake to pan. It's literally not been driven anywhere since my dad bought it in 72. Did a lot of sitting and fired it up once in a while. I just decided to drop it in the nomad a few years ago. It has a very mild solid flat tappet cam installed that the guy with the 56 had done before my dad bought it. Been there ever since. I pulled the stock iron intake and have an aluminum on it. Other than that it's untouched.

Anyway, vin is 6115348. Not sure why it has 7 digits instead of 6.

Assembly is F0223HE

Thought I'd share, maybe someone might know what happened to the vette.

Really? Do you have a link? I try googling Carlisle with that number and I'm getting nothing.

I'm shocked the car exists. He might be excited to know I have his original engine and transmission.

LOL, I'd have to freshen up the other 327 and put it back in. Maybe I won't look at that serial number (it's an L79) because it might start that process all over again. Aaaa

Don't know what made me even want to look at it yesterday.

Okay for a computer dummy how do you make that work.

I tried to paste it in google and it says file cannot be accessed.

What year is that for?

Do a Google search on the VIN 194376S115348 and a link comes up to the pdf download for the auction. The name of the website does not inspire confidence so I did not click on it.

'

Best of luck and hope it's an appreciate owner you track down.
Last couple SB 'Vette engines I backtracked to existing owners weren't happy to hear from me as THE Actual Original Stamped SB for their cars was the exact opposite of what they wanted showing up w/ award winning Matching # BB's in the garage.
