1966 Chevelle core support bushings
I'd like info on where to find quality core support bushings. Seems so much of the chinese rubber just falls apart in a couple years now. Who has a source for correct appearing and high quality bushings ?
Thanks, Mitch

The ones NPD sells are made by TWE and are very accurate looking, except the long bolts that come with them are not correct (but those can be bought from AMK). Don't overtighten them though, as the top side rubbers will "roll" over the washer and pop off if the bolt is too tight. I guess they should be made of a little stiffer material?
The ones on Ausley's website look the same, but I don't know if they are from the same mfr. The ones Inline Tube sells also look correct, and have a closer to correct bolt. But again I don't know if those are being made by Inline or by TWE or by someone else. Good luck!

Thank You Jeff !! This is exactly what I was looking for. Now the next issue will be finding one of those suppliers with them in stock.
Planning to bring the car to SCR in 3 weeks.

Went to the NPD site and looked up the bushings. 2 different sets. 1 with what they described as "soft" rubbers and another as firmer. Decided to get the firmer set and put them in my cart. Went looking for various other 1966 Chevelle parts and everything came up for a Camaro ?? What the heck ? I finally realized I had put in my '67 Camaro for the initial search... I've been working on the Camaro for months and only brought the Chevelle out of storage last Monday, so the brain hasn't caught up with the current focus of attention. I found the correct Chevelle bushings and they were described as "soft" too, just like Jeff said, so kept the firmer Camaro bushings too. Looking at my 2 cars, I "think" the upper bushings will interchange and I'll get a better outcome from the 2 sets....I hope. I ordered new roof rail seals too and then I was "ONLY" a few hundred short of free shipping, so we all know what a car guy does with that... start filling in the order from the wish list ...
