The engine is headed to the engine builder tomorrow. We spoke today. I would think the duration would get pulled down to around 240 degrees and open up the lobe center to around 110 degrees. We also spoke of possibly going to a dual plane manifold. The M22, Ramrod, and most other things will stay. Just want some more manners. I felt if I landed around 520-530hp with this many inches it should have much better manners yet still be a pretty stout combination. I'll try to keep the carb (950cfm) , although later on I would entertain switching to fuel injection. Before I send the headers out to be coated, I'll weld in some O2 bungs. The engine builder told me to expect about a month's time. I suppose I'll spend the money to dyno it again to see where we are at with power, torque, and A/F ratios. I gave some thought to redirecting to a true Day 2 theme. I have a lot of money invested in the parts that are here and they work very well. The car has tubular front control arms, rack & pinion, CE Slide a Links, Ford 9", etc.,etc. It would be more than I care to spend to make the car more authentic. Tim |

After a bit of brainstorming, this is a good candidate for the cam I am going to use.

Also have been working on some little things. Naturally, there is no such thing as a bolt in. Just getting everything fitted for the clutch master. Had to grind on the mounting plate for the master as it hit the inner fender.
After some finessing, looks like the master is mounted correctly, and will provide the right geometry for the pedal ratio. Just have to tidy up some wiring. I hate the red on the master, so it needs to be black..............Nice masking paper eh? |

Back from the machine shop....................
New cam, new RPM intake, new attitude! http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...d=306&sb=2 The shaft rockers I have are a 1.6 ratio, so that will put the lift at or above .610" Gotta get working! |
