Yes, I did see the link earlier, however the seller is not recommending using them for towing. Not sure why...perhaps because of the weld or the type of welding rod used. I have asked for clarification from the seller.

Thanks for the lead though.....

I would not tow with any tow tabs, NMW or otherwise...too dangerous IMO on today's roads.

I could not agree more. I would like to tow the car back to the starting line after each lap down the track....more of a nostalgic thing.

I would not have an issue using a pair of reproduction tow tabs for such a thing if they were correctly made/welded.

Gotcha.

I used a clamp-on tow bar, once, to tow my old GS convertible out of the original owner's backyard and ~50 miles back to my college. Way scary, even for an 18 year old, which is saying something.

I too did a similar thing back in the day. The only thing for sure was to clamp on, hold on and hope for the best. Now a days...car trailer all the way!

That's what I said too. For what you're using it for I would just get these. These days, with litigation as it is, no one is going to validate that a set of tabs would be OK for towing. Doesn't mean they are junk, just one of those statements you need to include to keep someone from doing something irresponsible.
