CamarosRus,

No inside info on this...you are right and glad they will go back to Chevrolet!! It had to be tough on the team to work...work...and work ALL year to give Jeggy & Erica race cars that are a 1/2 tenth off every one else. They are the best of the best and still could not make that Mopar run with the Summit boys! Hats off to Jason Line and team for a stout season.

All I got to say is dem boys better watch out next season!!!!!!!!! The team will be back...stay tuned

Was on vacation this week and missed the race but to the semi's was good to see. An .003 light had Erica out in front but the car slid sideways and that was the end of MOPAR!!

Dave, What do you know about the exclusive deal HOGAN intakes (fuel injection) has with
KB Racing. Does it appear that Gray Motor Sports and ELITE are catching up to HOGAN
with other brands of intakes or in house pieces ???

We are big fans of EE, she always takes time for the kids - here she is signing Danny's new Jr Dragster helmet that we bought at the Nationals....

I think it's alot more then Hogan Manifolds??? .05 of a second from first to 10th usually is the WHOLE PACKAGE and not just intakes. As Nick says, the whole package MUST work and be refined! So the NEW EFI stuff and the changes is areo as well as the rules for "air entry".

It's far from a HOGANS manifold magic deal. Funny, "most" of the guys I've talked to NEVER took HOGANS as a serious player in the manifold market and relegated them to more of the cheaper mass produced style intake???? Guys you usually see in the 500 class are Foltz, HRE etc. BUT good for Hogans for stepping up a TON this year. I'm sure that has resulted in a bunch of sales that would have otherwise gone to the competition.

I have talked to guys in the EFI business and they seem to think that the manifolds have more to do with being in the top ten or being in the top 3.The whole package is right on for sure!! The parts all must work together. Hogan was locked up or Ken Black paid to have exclusive rights to use their products. They were 100 HP down before they made the change to Hogan and had over 100 manifolds to find the right ones to run. Remember that Allen Johnson was in the lower half of the field till they switched to Wilson manifolds and they were back to the upper field again...Roy Johnson is well known to be one of the best Hemi guys out there and still was not where they wanted to be until they had help from Wilson.

Elite will be back in a Chevrolet in 2017 with Jeg & Erica up front again. Time will tell how well they do as it's another brand change with the new EFI system but this time around they will have better results much quicker and hope allot less parts failure!!! They should get lots of info from Vincent Nobile's car.

Marlin,

Glad that you had a chance to meet Erica and to have her sign the helmet for the boy! Jr drags is where she got her start and really cares for the kids as they are our future in drag racing so the more kids that are part of racing the better chance of the sport progressing.

GO Erica

Nick is very very smart. But to TRY a totally new platform and get it running with a totally new induction system at the same time, was just a bit too much. HEMI's are good, as good as the DRCE, not by the looks of it, really who knows. If Johnsons and Elite worked TOGETHER, maybe they would be right up with the GM's. Allen still does a good job, but maybe the $$$$ and a couple other cars testing things could have helped too. Remember KB Racing is a 2 1/2 car team pretty much with Butner.

Ferri will have the DRCE platform working for 2017 that you can count on. But think about the $$$ Michael is spending? Went from FULL GM, to FULL MOPAR, and now back to FULL GM equipment???? That is just WOW
