Thanks for sharing, hopefully it'll be removed from ebay before someone gets a chance to buy it.

Bryan,
Unfortunately, Ebay's current policy is to ALLOW cowl tags to be listed. They say those tags do not contain "vehicle specific information" like a VIN. They are wrong of course, because no two vehicles would have the same body number. I've mentioned that to them twice already and so have others, but they have yet to change the policy. They even allow the listing of BLANK tags, made to order by our "friend" in Lubbock, TX.

I don't believe it's a waste of time to try to keep track of these at all. Sooner or later it WILL show up again on a car. Wouldn't it be good and serve the "hobby" well if it's history was known? We are ALL policemen of our hobby if we choose to be. It's our choice; do we want to be cops or robbers?................

Whether we like it or not, our hobby has divided itself between those lines.

Verne
PS: for example, there's a dbase now that contains over 5000 '58-'64 Chevys, as they were when they first surfaced, to compare to how they might be when they surface again. As for the Supercars, it may be doggone late to start now, but if not now...when?

Maybe we should have a place here to post loose tags only. Then it would be easy to check befor you buy your camaro.
