What a great find and wonderful story Rick. While I look forward to the restoration, I find that the story behind the family who owned it is just as interesting. Who lives like that? Would love to here more about the man and his collection of stuff as he aged over the years. My great uncle was just like that when he died years ago and we had to settle his estate.

Thanks to Facebook and reader Rodman Phillips I was able to determine what this decal was that I found on the cowl end. Turns out to be a speed shop from Louisville. Really cool to see what it looked like originally and that it was a local speed shop. Now all I have to do is find one or have this one reproduced.

What an awesome discovery!

Yes...I believe in Karma, so with that being said it is great to see that this car ended up exactly where it needs to be. Congrats Rick and Annie!

The decal looks like it may be from one of the displays of decals that a guy sets up inside the LeConte center at the fall rod run. Can't remember his name, but he has a very large selection of decals he prints.

I found a gentleman with thousands of original decals and he had them. Just waiting to hear back. I will likely not put them back on the car but would be nice to have them on display with it.

Because my customers come first it is unlikely I will have the car to the stage where I could show it by November even as a partial restoration but we will be making every attempt.

Rick; please note that I said 2019, not 2018, as 2019 we will host our Class of '69 Invitational, marking the 50 Year Anniversary. Of course, "in progress" would be great at whatever stage it may be in in November of this year. I am sure everyone would love to see it!
