Last year at SCR 20 we were happy to see Mr. Chuck Hanson make an appearance at the Thursday night Car-B-Que. Chuck and his lovely bride LaRae joined us Thursday evening, then returned on Friday for a rainy afternoon at Beech Bend Raceway, where Chuck even worked at the starting line when the racing finally happened. Saturday they drove back up to Bowling Green from their home outside Nashville in their amazing 427, 4-speed Bel Air to join us at the National Corvette Museum for the indoor show.

Just today we have confirmation that Chuck and LaRae will join us again for SCR 21, and we're excited to announce that Chuck has agreed to be our Guest Speaker at Friday Night's Banquet with the SuperCars in the National Corvette Museum. Chuck may be best known to every car guy as the host of HorsePower TV, or as the President of A.C.E.S. , the Nationwide Chevelle organization that he and LaRae founded and operated for years. But some of you may not know that Chuck was a significant member of the Petersen Publishing group, serving as Editor of CAR CRAFT magazine as well as other duties in the Petersen group, .... AND was also employed for many years in various capacities with the NHRA.
Chuck was somewhat reluctant when we first approached him about this, admitting he has stepped away from the spotlight to just enjoy being a 'Car Guy' and spending time traveling with his lovely wife. But he agreed to do something of a question and answer/Bench Race session in a totally informal atmosphere. "Hey Chuck, ..... that's absolutely what we're all about!" We look forward to hearing Chuck's stories and just hanging out with one of the coolest Car Guys ever on Friday night at the SCR 21 Banquet.

Last years Reunion was the first time I had met Chuck. Then again at MCACN.
One of the nicest most gracious people you will ever meet.
Once again this is shaping up to be a can't miss event.

Thanks for reminding me Doug. I failed to mention Chuck's service during the Viet Nam era.
Chuck; my apology along with my sincere gratitude and respect Sir!

The Q and A with Chuck is reason enough to attend the reunion.
