Post Dual Exhaust System 85 GMC

Doing some work on my 85 GMC Sierra...short bed 4WD.

Installing a new set of tires today and noticed the exhaust system is pretty much shot...looking for a complete system [manifolds back]....nothing crazy for sound, just a nice tone.

Saw this complete system from Jegs...includes new manifolds. I like the idea of swapping out the 36 year old manifolds...so everything is new.

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

Thanks, wilma

Looks like a great kit and at an excellent price. Go for it...

Dorman sbc exhaust manifolds aren't made here. They are made in some strange world where they intend for them to crack Tom. I've replaced 2 of them on my 350 TBI engine. If your original GM manifolds are usable, they will still probably outlast these from Brazil or wherever they come from..

Default Exhaust System...

I hear you on the Dorman parts...

After a closer look I think the head pipes are fine...maybe just replace the mufflers and tailpipes...much better solution if it works.

Should be tackling it soon...I will report back.

I used a Dynomax kit from 4wheelonline and some cheap mufflers. It has a nice sound and no drone, although I'm still considering replacing the mufflers with a better brand.
