68 Z undercarriage winter project
I decided to work on the undercarriage of my 14,000 original paint 68 Z. Unfortunately, it was spray bombed by the original owner in the early 70’s. I decided to open up a can of worms and try to clean the back spray paint off of the floors and hopefully not harming the original finish. A friend of mine recommended I try “Naked Gun” spray gun paint remover/cleaner. The stuff worked amazing. I sprayed it on, waited five minutes for the black spray paint to alligator skin and then I wiped right off. It did not hurting the original paint and factory overspray on the floors. It also did not leave any film afterwards.
I have a long way to go, but I thought I would share some pictures. These pictures are after about thirty minutes of work. If anyone else has any suggestions on spray paint removal, please let me know. |
