Amazing that all 4 original wheel covers are still present. Too bad that original engine is MIA.

Another good example showing the front clip is a different shade of factory paint than the rest of the body.

The assembly line paint process wasn’t always a perfect match.

Nothing better than Survivor paint.

I passed a long a lead to a local friend Roland S about a '68 black top, black body and I think red interior vert, I bet he still has it. He bought it from Steve at Torrance Auto Wreckers back in the mid 90s.

I looked at one just like this in Ft.Wayne, In. probably 20 years ago. I think he wanted in the low teens at the time. Same color, bench 4-sp, wheel covers. I can't imagine it not being the same car but who knows? Only a state away.

I wouldn't bet the front clip was original paint. Both fenders have bondo falling off the lowers and this pic indicates a hard line of new paint that matches the fender above the black.
