Default F41 boxed lower control arms.

Can anyone confirm or deny that these were ever installed on a production car with the "V" notched in the bottom reinforcements? I know that these are over the counter service replacements but I have never seen a Chevelle with the notches. Did Buick, Olds or Pontiac have the notched ends? Thanks

I know more about Oldsmobiles and have A LOT of experience w/'70-72 442's, etc. As far as I can tell the '70 Olds's did not have those "V" cutouts but I've seen original rear lower arms on either '71 or 72's that had the cutouts. Yes, also on NOS sets but on some original/installed arms as well. I'm not 100% sure when they changed to that style. For all I know it could have also depended on the plant.

I can check a '72 Buick w/original arms on it as well.

Maybe it was a revision they made to aid installation of the bushings??

Thanks for your input. Interesting that you've seen them on original equipment applications.
