Default Nova Skirt Seal

Need some help from the Pro's. Found this Skirt Seal and have not been able to determine it's application. I believe it to be correct for a Nova as the Camaro installs differently. Purchased it for one of my 70 Novas because neither of them had one. My 70 Nova AIM shows a partial picture of the Skirt Seal installed, in UPC 5 with a note to go to UPC 11/13. But UPC 11/13 shows only the normal seals that all my cars have. I looked the cars over for any witness marks where they may have been installed, and then removed sometime during servicing but, found nothing. I do not have my 69 AIM at the moment. Could this be for 68/69 Nova, and dropped for the 70 production year? My earliest car is a 10B. Thanks in advance for any help given.

Post skirt..

Pretty sure this piece protected the shift linkage on the 68/69 Nova...our 69 granny car with powerglide had one.

How about it was to keep water from splashing onto the firewall connector ?

Are you interested in selling this seal? My car is a 69 similar to the photo provided by M22Mike. I need that seal if you're interested in selling it. Thanks
