https://www.admcars.com/1971-plymout...old=Available& Mopar Experts . . . . I have never seen a Fender Tag like that. Have you? According to the VIN it was a 383-2V (L). Is that correct? Is this a made up car? Originally a 383-2V, now a 440+6? |

Period photo from approx. 1943. I draw your attention to the "Invasion Stars" on the hood of the Jeeps The brown paint was not camo. It was there to save lives. The USA was concerned that Germany would use Mustard Gas (as it did during WWI). That brown paint is a special formula that would turn RED in the event Mustard Gas (not really a gas - more like droplets) was present. Last edited by Lee Stewart; 06-08-2018 at 09:25 PM. |

Hurst Rescue System 1 Gremlin George Hurst had the idea of creating a vehicle that could be used to transport his Hurst Rescue Tool, nicknamed ” The Jaws of Life” and other equipment to aid race car drivers in the event of a crash that caused entrapment of the driver. For this job he chose the AMC Gremlin. The Hurst Rescue System 1 was a complete rescue package equipped with firefighting, first aid, a 1000 pound winch and even a stretcher. |

Tire maker Pirelli released this week a special tri-color edition of its colored tires to celebrate Festa della Republica, the anniversary of the Italian vote to establish a republic government after World War II. Unfortunately, the tires will not be sold to consumers. A Pirelli spokeswoman said they were specifically made for dignitary use. |
