Jr. Thompson..anyone know him?

I bought a 392 Hemi that was built by Jr. I did some reading up on him. Pretty interesting guy. Wondered if anyone here knew him personally.

Never met him but I'm certainly familiar with the name. He was a heavy player in the Gasser Wars in the 60s & 70s.
