That shifter handle looks like a std...but the dash says auto.

These cars are very cool...

Having a hard time telling myself “NO” on this one. My father had an extremely nice ‘74 GTO in the ‘80’s and I’ve liked them ever since!

You don't even need an entire 455. Just find a 455 short block to throw under the 350 smog heads with the small chambers, and you get 9.8 to 1 compression and around 390 horse and 500 lbs of torque. That's what we did with my Gramma's '75 Firebird. And 3.42 or 3.08 gears. Pontiacs don't need 4.10s if you got all that torque. (they also don't like high rpms)
