A good friend of mine in the Seattle area owns the only 1971 ZR1 convertible. It was driven and raced by his wife back in the 80/90’s and bought by him again two years ago.

It says nothing about if the drivetrain is original ? I see a couple of other signs of mistakes/wrong parts. No good pictures of the block as well.

It will go for big money with a high reserve and the bid goes on

----Correct! For starters the valve covers are chrome and shouldn't be. I used to get dinged points all the time when I had my silver LS6 coupe, but liked a bit of chrome on the engine so didn't change them out......Bill S

----Yup! Remember, Stretch bought it from me. He actually did put the correct valve covers on and corrected a few other things and then it received a gold. It was a relay great driver,,,One of the best...….Bill S

The 71 ZR1 Roadster is Steel Cities Gray- correct?
First LT1 I ever saw was a RED ZR1.

The Mancuso Chevrolet ZR1 is the Steel Cities gray one, you're correct. I saw it on their showroom floor in 1977 when it was painted black.
