Default odd pad stamp

Like to hear some thoughts on this. VIN stamp on the block looks fine.

The D and Z are not typical, aside from the way it is stamped

'

Any others w/ this date and/or low Z known?
Closer dates would be better but comparing w/ examples below, the D especially but also 0 both appear too skinny?

At face value, it sure looks questionable, but I think someone would have to have intimate knowledge of the block stamping operation at the Flint engine assembly back in the day to make any kind of credible commentary. Was it possible to have had different gang stamping equipment, where different stamps could have had different appearing letters and/or numbers? Could the letters/numbers come loose within the gang stamp and still make an impression like in William's picture? Just a couple questions I could think of.

Not really what I would call aligned for a gang stamp

Certainly not typical in both spacing and font.
