Default 1970 12 bolt stamp

Is this ccw? Never seen it stamped like this on a 278 1970 12 bolt. This would be the standard non posi track for a 350 hp ss 396? Thanks

As per Dale’s website, CCW is a 3.31 non-posi found in L34 Chevelles/El Caminos & LS3 Monte Carlos.

The axle in my May built SS has the same date. Was built in Oshawa.

I have no clue why people continue to use something so abrasive to see factory stamps. What did they use here, a hack saw?

Agree with you.
It was done before I got to it. If you look at the top of the picture you will see the under coating was very thick. Still no excuse.
