'66 Corvette Convertible, Orig Black on Red
Nice looking car with the best color combo out there. Looks to have the low-HP tach but no mention from the seller regarding engine option.

----Head scratcher for sure. I expected to see a 300hp engine due to the redline, but low and behold the engine appears to be a 350hp. Then I saw the 300hp style water pump so I'm stumped. Maybe an original 300hp rebuilt as a 350hp? If I could see the balancer it might give us a clue but that may have been changed as well...…Bill S

The ad says the seller had the car repainted but the hard top needs paint.
I have seen several Corvette ads lately where the sellers repainted their car and stated that the hardtop needed paint. It seems strange to me that someone would have a car repainted and then not repaint a major component that needed painting. Maybe it's just me... |

Look at those tires-that car hasn't been driven much since the 80s. The hardtop probably hasn't been on that car in 20 years. Most people haven't used the hardtops since these things were daily drivers and when it came time to paint the car, they either didn't think to repaint the top or didn't want to open a can of worms "restoring" the top prepping it for paint.

If stored incorrectly, those hardtops spread more than a working girl on a Friday night.
