Darn, Gary ... well plenty to chat about beyond "how was your day?" after that sort of moratorium, right? Sharp Z, btw!

That was my first muscle car. I can still see it fresh in my mind even to this day. Some say you never forget your first love. Last time I was in Atlanta I went to look for the guy I bought it from in my high school and his mom said he was murdered. She didn't go into details.

And we have Hallmark moment #2.

Back to the car: hard to beat a 64 GTO. Didn't one of the car mags have one that had a transplanted 421 SD?
Forgive my Pontiac ignorance, but are the 389 and 421 pretty much the same externally?

Maybe? This one had a 421 HO installed in engineering and Bobcatted at Royal for the Car and Driver test.

Yes, 389 and 421 are dimensionally the same (likewise other Pontiac V-8's - no "big blocks&quot.

Hey Tenney,

Thought I'd add some pics from Jim's(Wangers) 85th Birthday Bash back in 2011. I want to show the fellas the attention to detail that Scott Tiemann gave to this fine SUPERCAR!
