Default (another) 1969 Z/28 (sort of)

I've posted this photo before over on the CRG site. Since I'm a new member here, thought I'd share it with another group. Pic was from June 1969 outside the station my dad worked at. He bought the car brand new in Jan/Feb 69 when he was 16. We got her on the road a couple of years ago. I drive it most the time these days. He's into tractors now (thankfully ). I love how this photo shows it was originally a non-spoiler car.

Nick

Beautiful Z Nick! The fact that the price of gas back then was only .35 cents a gallon makes me wanna scream!

That's equivalent of $2.23 a gallon today with inflation. I paid about 40 cents per gallon for 95 octane gasoline today.

Cool pic. So your dad added the spoiler or the dealer?

The dealer (Grossman Chev) added it, but must have been in April/May.

Here are the only other old pics we have of the car, taken around April 1969.

Welcome over here nick. When did the cowl hood go on? My car was sporting a cowl hood from 78 til about 2003. They look very different without it!

Thanks Buddy.

My dad never had a cowl hood on it, always rolled with the flat. When we painted the car, we painted up a flat hood and holeless trunk lid. My wife tells me I have more accessories for the Camaro than she does. I don't mind
