Default Looking for info on Gold 1970 Ls6 sold new at Wilcox rau in new Britain CT Waterbury

Looking for information on a 1970 Chevelle Ls6 sold new at Wilcox Rau Chevy in New Britain Connecticut. Car was originally code 55 Champagne Gold with no stripes, non ZL2, tach gauge bench seat, automatic, 4.10 posi car. It was traded in 1972-1973 to New brite auto in Waterbury CT. The car was purchased by Billy decarlo in 1972-1973 and was painted black with no stripes and raced a NHRA class at Lebanon Valley drag. The car was in Waterbury it’s entire life. The car was owned by someone who became paralyzed in a motor accident after billy sold the car. At some point it was converted over to a 4 speed, the car sold at Family auto In Waterbury to Goergiana Harris in the early 80s And she painted it red. Looking for any history or pictures of the car. It is a Baltimore built car. The car was active in Waterbury from 1972-1982 Black and from 1982-85 red. Thank you in advance

Just wanted to share a update, I was able to track down the original owner who is still alive, he still had the order forum from when he ordered this LS6 new at Wilcox Rau Chevy in new Britain CT. Attached are pictures the Original owner sent me of the car when he picked it up new at the dealer. The last owner of the car was Frank Devino of waterbury ct who unfortunately passed away last year. I have talked to a few of franks friends who had saw he had the build sheet which I believe considering I found the corner of it in the rear seat. I have not been able to get in contact with anyone from franks family. If someone knows franks family please let them know I’m offering a 3k finders fee for the build sheet.

It is amazing to think you could buy a new 70 Chevelle SS for $4000 ! That was a beautiful car when new. I love stripes, but that looks good without them.

$29,447 in today's dollars. Still a heck of a deal.
