Unreal '72 Lemans Convertible, Orig Paint, #s 400/4-spd
I can't imagine this car WON'T be bid beyond the opening $32,000 price. Has to be one of the coolest Pontiac survivors I've seen in a while. Just wow.
One of you guys with more money and storage space than I have needs to buy this car. Link to 1972 Lemans 400/4-sp Convertible auction |

What leads you to believe it's been repainted?

Door strickers, and door latches and the screws have all been painted. To me a dead give away for cars being repainted.

Don't take this to the bank, but I believe that the door strikers and latches were installed at the time of paint on Pontiacs built in Pontiac, MI. My 68 GTO was that way I believe. The original door sticker on the subject car would indicate the jambs haven't been touched. JMHO.

I could swear that this same car was listed a few months ago. Or maybe it was a different one with similar colors. I do recall that the pictures were taken in a driveway, and from one angle you could see some deer wandering through the yard and across the street to munch on the neighbor's landscaping.

They were painted at the factory.
