Arrow 1969 Nova SS 396 L78 375 HP Muncie M22 Transmission with Vin Number L@@K

1969 Nova SS M22 396 L78 Muncie Transmission, Stamped P9B13C (Muncie 1969 February 13 M22) VIN# Stamp 19W484917 Willow Run Michigan Production Nova. (Whole Vin# would be 114279W484917). Only 617 four speed M22 1969 Nova SS came with an M22 making this one tough to find Transmission. 3925660 Main Case with Pattent # 3088336.

In Excellent Condition with no Repairs, IMO real Muncie GM gears, one photo shows Transmission with some History with a Stamped "Richies M 22 RBLT 6 82" Most likely rebuilt for the first time in June 1982 for an Owner Richie or Richies Rebuild Company not sure. Synchro's and gears look excellent inside with NO wear.

Transmission originally came out of a Running 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS6 back in 2011 and has sit since then. The Original 3857584 Tail Housing was removed in place of a 3978764 in order for the 1970 Chevelle to operate with a proper shifter as the Nova had a different shifter pattern for the 3857584 Tail Housing. Also the Original 27 Spline Mainshaft was replaced with a 32 Spline Mainshaft to fit the 70 Chevelle drive shaft yoke. See more info here as I did try to connect this Transmission to a current owner with NO luck. https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthre...=173228&page=2

Keep in mind the 3978764 Tailhousing and 32 Spline Mainshaft on the M22 now are harder to find and worth more money then the more common 3857584 Tailhousing and 27 Spline Mainshaft. So if you change the parts out at least you will have a good trade off later.

$2500 FIRM plus $150 Shipping, or pick up in person in Crivitz Wisconsin. My partner Tom can also bring this Transmission to the MCACN show for pick up. (Full Payment required before delivery).

June 1982 is a long way back, Must be one of two things, guy that owned the M22 or the company/person name for rebuilding it. Kind of cool they did that !
