Default 1955 Chev 210 survivor in the Boston area

I would be all-over this ‘55 if I could verify that it’s not a scam. I would definitely take some grief for buying another car, but I would find a way to make room for it. Appears to be a little ways south of Boston in the Middleboro area? Anyone really close?

52k original miles and still wearing its original Black paint with original interior! Somebody help me or STOP me...

I spoke with the owner and he seems legit. The paint shows a lot of cracking from close-up, which I would expect. The only visible rust on the car is a pin hole on the driver’s quarter.

Apparently there is rust on the inner rockers, so I’m awaiting photos of that area. I’m not familiar with this vintage of car. Is that typical on these, or a big concern?

The car is currently a nice driver, and I would leave it all original... if this goes any further.

Well, I received additional photos and the underside of the car has set me back. I would want to inspect this car closely and in person.

Looks like a nice, honest car. The Offenhauser (I think) intake and split exhaust are pretty cool. The only spot I've been warned about on 55-57 Chevrolets is rust in the headlight eyebrows.

At the asking price I don't think you would get hurt driving it the way it sets, 55-57 prices seem to be trending down a little.

Looks like a great car.

The paint issues I don’t mind, but the rust on the underside scares me.

The rust would make me pass. There is a LOT of it. I looked at a ton of 55's before I bought my 55 Nomad.
