The fly style filter is very cool, did they make them in a smaller outer diameter?
The small air cleaners are okay because you already have a big wow factor in the intake and carb set up.

I like the 9" filters on there. I had an NOS fly that I parted with a while ago. Too many of them catch fire when fuel pukes up into the foam or when carbs backfire. Crossram's do that more often than single carbs so that to me would be recipe for a flamed out foam.

Sound like the fly's would only be good for a photo shoot, unless one could source flame resistant filters.

I think every city had a nightly cruise spot that was haunted by a 73 Camaro that looked like that. There was a guy here in Calgary back in the early 90's that ran a blue 73 Z/28 that was flat out nasty!

Don't know what times it was capable of, but he ran his fair share of street challenges with that car and I'm sure it was at least a low 11 second car or better. I still want one of those. Just like this one pictured above.

My other issue is I still haven't nailed the headers. I have a set I need to try and fit.

I do not want a new set or silver ceramic coated ones. I want mine white or blue (I think)

The Z has finally made it to the paint booth, they are fitting the hood now. Hopefully have it painted this week.

That's going to look great, and as Dave stated, that's absolutely the best hood for a 2nd gen Camaro, ever.

How did you decide to do the stripes?
