Default 1970 Yenko Nova trans and bellhousing numbers

Hi, I am new to this site, and was wondering if someone could tell me the correct bellhousing and trans case, and tailhousing casting numbers for a 1970 Yenko COPO Nova, with the CTB code engine. The reason i am asking is i am doing some work on a 1970 Yenko COPO Nova for a friend, and i am pretty sure that these items are not correct.

Thanks in Advance, and COOL Site.

Hi Marlin, Yes it is the same silver COPO Nova in the background in Hugger_Sixty_Nine,s Post about the CTB Engine. It has a lot of wrong stuff, and we are trying to get it closer.
MikeA.- Thanks for the numbers, that helps. I was pretty sure about all the numbers except the trans case, i have seen Corvette/Camaro,s with 660 cases in 70, i thought that just LS6 Chevelle,s got the 661 case, until 71 when everything got them. I had a buddy who has passed away , who had a 70L78 Nova and it had the 660 case, but i think it was a early car.

Thanks for the Help!!

660 main cases were used as late as Dec. 1969... 661 main cases were used as early as Sept. 1969. I have examples of each... The beginning of the 1970 model year the engineering drawings were change on the Muncie main case so that a fill plug and drain plug were tapped into ALL muncie main cases, so you can tell early 1970 model 660 cases, because they have drain plugs, M-20's, 21's, 22's... Hope this helps...Crash

Thanks for the info Crash, you have confirmed what i thought.
This car has a M22 with a 661 case. The car still has the protecto plate and the trans date ( on the protecto plate ) is P0E06.
Was the M22 availiable for these cars, or would it most likely have had a M21?

Thanks in Advance.

Mike, did your friend recently buy this car, or did he just now decide to get some corrections done to it? I remember diggin' on it at SCR1... was one of a few cars sitting outside to greet us when we first arrived late at night...hard to believe that was 7 years ago already... Silver does look good on a Deuce.

This deuce has been in Calgary for several years. It was sold by the guy in Florida, and it sort of went on the auction tour for a year or so. It was in Atlantic City, then went to RM auctions in MI, but I think it eventually sold privately. I have pics of it from when it was on consignment somewhere in MI.

It has the correct rear leaf springs in it! I use a pic of that car to show guys the correct style.
