Default X44 steering wheel

Seems like the judges say that all 69 Camaros have the pebble grained steering wheel. Over at CRG they say that some cars had smooth wheels. I have a black standard interior X44 car, 04C. Are there any X44 cars out there with known original wheels and are they pebble or smooth? Thanks. John

X44 had nothing to do with interior trim.

What would you be checking for?

When Chevrolet decided not to offer an N30 Deluxe Steering Wheel option for '69, the tooling was done and in production. Both versions were used in production with no regard for build configuration.

Maybe you need new judges.

Ok, sorry for the confusion on my post. X44 doesn't matter, I understand. So I screwed that up. I was wondering if any of the base interior cars had smooth wheels. I red this on CRG:

That contradicts the use of any smooth wheels. That post was also a long time ago. Just wondered what the thoughts were now.
